The Lion King

I spent my entire chilhood watching disney movie after disney movie but this one is definately the one I loved the most. I remember watching it over and over. I always had this obsession with Africa and I think it started with The Lion King. I would watch documentaries and even go to IMAX to see all the African Safari movies. Although this challenge was hard, it was close between this and Beauty and the Beast, I think Lion King was my childhood favourite.

The Little Mermaid

You might have guessed this from a long while back. It has been my favourite for what must be my entire life, not joking. It was made before I was born so it theory it can be. I can quote almost the entire movie including every song, name every character and know what part of the movie it is by one line from another room. It is a movie I will never get sick of, mind you my mother might be. Forgetting one thing I love water and the sea, it might have also fuel my desire to be a mermaid when I was a child.

Tiana - Princess and the Frog

I love her wedding dress. It is very elegant and in my opinion not too extravagent. It is very natural in the colours and shapes and looks like part of the forest but in a beautiful way that enhances it.

Aurora - Sleeping Beauty

I adore Aurora’s final dress. It is elegant and sophisticated, it is also so very pretty. I agree with Merryweather the dress should have been blue, still it is a graceful dress.

Tiger Lily - Peter Pan

Not only does she have an amazing name she also has a pretty strong personality for someone who never talks. She is strong mentally and defiant. I love her character, for no clear reason really just everything about her adds up to my favourite minor charcter.

Tito - Oliver & Company

Tito is one of my favourite minor characters reasoning being he stands out with his pack of dogs. He has little dog syndrome and that I can sadly relate to being the shortest of my friends. Somehow fits. He is also crazy and out-of-control which I love as well.

101 Dalmations

This movie has the happiest ending in my opinion because of the effort the Pongo and Perdita go to, to find their puppies and all the challenges they faced in doing so. They put so much effort into reuniting their family and saving them from Cruella De Vil that they deserve their happy ending. Everything works out for not only Pongo & Perdita’s litter but now all of the pet shop puppies have a home too.

The Great Mouse Detective

This is one of my happiest ending as all the problems were solved thanks to Basil, everyone was happy and Basil and his friends became as close as ever and lived for what we know peacefully on Bakers Street including the Toby, the dog.

I love these lyrics because there is so much meaning to them, and it’s so true that a lot of people are very ignorant and forget the true beauty of everything.

This might well be my favourite song lyrics, more because of sentimental value. Little story we(Vivien and I) made a mixed Disney cd for a friend and this song was the main song. It reminds all of us that no matter what happens it will be us three. We’ve always got a friend in a each sharing the burden of all our troubles.

Aurora - Sleeping Beauty

This name has always been one of my favourites. To me it is just beautiful and as corny as it sounds it has always been one of my dreams to see the Aurora Borealis in real life because I think it just looks so magical and beautiful.

Archimedes - The Sword in the Stone

Say this out loud. How awesome does it sound? I love this name for that reason. It sounds amazing. This name goes to a smart owl. It is such an uncommon name, I’ve only heard it in this movie. Though I love saying it. No questions to ask Archimedes is my favourite Disney name.

The Beast - Beauty and the Beast

I don’t think this a very “traditional” transformation, it’s not the actual physical tranformation from beast to man that I like, it’s the mental and emotional changes he has. Even when he was originally a man he was selfish and self-centred. Belle teaches him to love and show kindness and become the best he could be.

Ursula - The Little Mermaid

This was a hard choice because I also love Maleficent transformation. This one has come out on top because I love the words Ursula says during her transformation(i’ll see him wriggle like a worm on a hook) and her laugh which makes the scene complete.

Aladdin & Jasmine

This is my favourite kiss because it is so cute. The carpet too also reminds me so much of some of my friends. In some cases they’ll go to the effort of pushing two people’s heads together.

Tarzan & Jane - Tarzan

This is my favourite kiss due to it being spontaneous and playful. Jane tripping over just before and getting shy right after is adorable. Then Tarzan kissing her again is cute. Who doesn’t want a guy to kiss you like that. I can not say how much I love this kiss, beyond words.

Rapunzel - Tangled

How could you not love all that hair? I cringed at the end when Flynn had to cut it off. I would absolutely love to have long flowing hair like her. Especially with the flowers braided in.

Alice - Alice in Wonderland

I love Alice’s hair because it is so simple. I also love blonde hair(I’m brunette.) Her hair falls so perfectly yet has a childish/sophisticated look. It has always been the best hair in my eyes.

Dumbo

This moment in Dumbo always made me cry, it is the saddest thing. Dumbo being cradled in his mother’s trunk while she’s in jail for protecting him. Never failed in making me burst into tears.

Fox and the Hound

This moment would have to be one of the saddest. To drive away from a beloved pet is just as heartbreaking as when it die. It kills you inside when he looks at her unsure of what is happening. It breaks my heart. This moment is beyond sad and makes me cry every time I watch it.

John Smith - Pocahontas

John Smith is a big hero for me because he defies his superiors and his culture for love. He works to save what he believes in and is not afraid to learn more.

Robin hood - Robin Hood

Robin Hood would be my most cheered for hero. He is kind and looks out for everyone in need. He is also very often forgot as a hero which he definitively is. Though his story says everything about him being a hero.

Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride

I love this sequel just as much as any other original Disney Movie. I even listen to the soundtrack often.To me Lion King wouldn’t be complete without this sequel it just adds so much to the entire story.

The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea

Return to the Sea is my favourite sequel without question. I love the all the music(know the words to all the songs.) Also it fits perfectly with the first one and has a excellently written storyline. The characters are also just as amazing as the first.

I believe in this quote so strongly. Over the past 12 months I have drifted apart from friends and then suddenly regained their friendship and been even closer than before. I think that you will always have a shot at a second chance unless you either stuffed up badly or it just isn’t meant to be.

“You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret, all the best people are.” This quote practically sums up who I socialize with and myself. Over the last few years we have learnt who we are and that no matter how we act we still love each other(and choose to be seen with each other). So we act crazy, bonkers even but that is us. We have fun and that is all that matters. We are mad, we are proud and I believe that is the best way to be.

Aladdin - Aladdin & Jasmine

The combination of a street urchin, a princess, a genie and three wishes make this movie the best romantic comedy. Everything has a funny twist on it, especially the genie.

Tangled - Rapunzel & Flynn Rider aka Eugene Fitzherbert 

This is my favourite Disney Rom-Com. The sexual tension between Rapunzel & Flynn Rider is great plus the added humor of them being two different types of people. Also the animals make it quite a funny story. I could watch this amazing story over and over again.

Belle - Beauty & The Beast

This was one of the hardest desicions, I narrowed it down to Belle’s golden ball dress and Pocahontas’. Belle’s dress to me is absolutely perfect, bright, happy and elegant. Not to mention the Beast’s outfit matches perfectly with it.
